- Do I need a cash deposit?
A cash deposit is not always necessary as most often you can use equity/value in your own home or another property you own. If you don’t have a cash deposit or equity, in some cases family/friends can guarantee a portion of their equity towards your investment property. - Can I afford an investment property?
There have been some banking changes that have affected property investors and deposit amounts, so it is certainly prudent to discuss your individual circumstances with the bank. A typical investor with us would have an income over $70,000, or a joint income over $80,000. There may be some equity in a current house and a cash surplus after living costs and personal debt is serviced. This cash surplus may currently be going into a savings account. - With guaranteed rent offers, is the price of the property inflated?
Certainly not. The purchase price of our homes are the same whether it is purchased as a home for you to live in, or as in investment property.
